AERODIUM is manufacturer of vertical wind tunnels for body flying, bodyflight and indoor skydiving. Team of AERODIUM consists of inventors, constructors and producers of open, mobile, hybrid, closed recirculation type wind tunnels. Various types of AERODIUM vertical wind tunnels are made to meet different needs and businesses that vary from entertainment, recreational, military training, sport and show flying.

  • Our biography

AERODIUM invented the world’s first vertical wind tunnels in 1979 in Canada. We work day by day to develop this technology, making flying accessible to anyone anywhere, because we believe in our dreams and in the unlimited opportunities of human beings. This advances the development of technology and people.

While on the ground, we deal with the R&D of VWT technology, the popularisation of this unique form of recreation and sport, as well as the production and world-wide distribution of the newest technology.

After the production of the first prototype, many years have been devoted to development – the streamlining and improvement of the original engineering solutions.

  • Anyone can fly

Over the course of time vertical wind tunnel technologies developed and various technical solutions emerged, suitable for both closed and open tunnels. This allowed the comparison, evaluation and development of the most promising solutions. The systematic raising of safety standards occurring simultaneously to this has created an environment in which practically anyone can fly. The tunnel models of today are completely suitable for use in the broadest markets, which opens up an inconceivable number of business opportunities.

  • Unforgottable show

The long-term work of the Aerodium team resulted in participation in the world’s most watched and significant show business event – an air acrobatics show at the closing ceremony of Torino 2006 Olympic Games. An Aerodium vertical wind tunnel created especially for the show was used, with the help of which flyers from Latvia demonstrated the dream of flying coming true, flying at a height of 25 metres off the ground during a live broadcast to billions of viewers all over the world. Millions of people held their breaths while watching the ancient dream of a person to fly freely in space come alive.

The industry was awakened by the immense interest that arose following the show at Torino 2006 Olympic Games. It became apparent that flying in vertical wind tunnels could be interesting for practically anyone.

  • Designed for good business

Today Aerodium offers a full range of models and a unique style of cooperation directed towards the absolute fulfillment of business needs, ensuring both a high quality product and all the necessary support for starting and maintaining a business.
